GoPro Action Digital Cameras

GoPRO was founded in 2004 by Nick Woodman after being motivated to design a simple to use camera system for use in adventure sports during his time surfboarding in Australia. GoPRO produce a range of action cameras, video editing software and a drone called 'Karma'.

The GoPRO action cameras all come with a clear polycarbonate HD housing and a glass lens that is rated both shockproof and waterproof to 40m. They all have a quick release buckle on top of them, as well as attachments for a universal GoPRO mounting system. GoPRO mounting systems are incredibly versatile, making it able to attach your beloved camera to nearly anything, allowing you to shoot incredible videos of everything from surfing to skateboarding.

Newest in the line of GoPRO cameras is the 'HERO5' series. Introduced in September 2016, there are two editions, the 'Session' and the 'Black'. Both offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility and they are water resistant to 10 metres. The main differences between the 'Session' and the 'Black' models is the quality of footage recorded with the 'Black' model offering two megapixels for greater clarity and the 'Session' offers twelve megapixels.

The 'Black' model also offers higher frame rates in most definitions with 1080p in a maximum of one hundred and twenty frames per second. The biggest difference between them is the two inch LCD touch display that is built into the back of the HERO Black. This allows for simpler control over the settings like the resolution and the field of view. It provides a much faster, more responsive and efficient way to control the GoPro camera . Another great option this feature adds is the on-screen exposure control, which gives a much greater creative potential to the photographer.

Another extremely popular camera is the 'GoPro Hero Session'. This is an incredibly compact and lightweight camera, which makes shooting easy with three different fields of view to choose from. It has a plethora of quality and FPS options for both slow-mo and high quality videos alike. The GoPRO Hero Session offers great value for money, being far cheaper than both the 'GoPRO Hero5 Session' and the 'Black' models. This is a great camera for beginners. All GoPRO camera accessories are fully cross compatible so you can use the camera as a starting point with which to work from. It is safe to say that whichever GoPRO product you pick, you had better be ready for an adventure.
